EverShuffle Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

EverShuffle sets your Android wallpaper from your own photos, ranked by an on-device quality model. Your photos never leave your device. Limited technical diagnostics, voluntary bug-report text, and machine-learning performance metrics are collected as described below.

Photo access

EverShuffle reads photos from your device's photo library solely to analyze them on-device for quality and to set selected photos as your home or lock-screen wallpaper.

Photos and analysis results are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared. Ranking results—including scores, face regions, and photo identifiers—are stored only in the app's private storage.

After you accept the in-app storage notice, EverShuffle saves an optimized private copy of each local photo selected for wallpaper rotation. This keeps the photo available if you later delete the original. The catalog identifies copies as Local or Google Photos and lets you remove them individually. These copies use device storage and are not a separate cloud backup.

EverShuffle disables Android backup for its app data. Private copies and other local app data are deleted when you remove them in the app, uninstall EverShuffle, or clear its data. Removing an EverShuffle copy never deletes its original.

On Android 14 and later, you may grant access to only selected photos.

You may also explicitly select cloud photos, including Google Photos items, through Android's system photo picker. EverShuffle immediately copies those selections into private app storage for on-device scoring and wallpaper rotation. You can delete all imported copies from the Google Photos row or remove individual copies from the catalog. Removing an imported copy never deletes the original from Google Photos.

Crash diagnostics

EverShuffle uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports, non-fatal error reports, and application-not-responding diagnostics. Reports may include stack traces, app version, device model, operating-system version, photo count, permission state, and the background operation that failed.

Reports do not include photos, filenames, photo URIs, face regions, photo scores, or photo-library contents. Crash diagnostics are transmitted to and processed by Google Firebase. See Google's privacy policy and Firebase privacy documentation.

If you voluntarily use the in-app Report a bug form, the description you type is transmitted to Firebase Crashlytics with the normal technical diagnostics. Bug reports never automatically attach photos or photo identifiers. Do not include sensitive personal information in the text.

On-device machine learning

EverShuffle uses Google ML Kit for on-device face detection and image labeling. Photo contents and analysis results are not sent to Google by ML Kit. ML Kit may contact Google for bug fixes, updated models, and hardware-compatibility information, and may send technical performance and API-utilization metrics. See the ML Kit terms and privacy information.

Remote configuration

EverShuffle uses Firebase Remote Config to download non-sensitive product settings, such as the default photo-quality threshold. Remote Config may process a Firebase installation identifier and technical app/device information needed to deliver and cache configuration values. No photos, photo identifiers, scores, album names, or wallpaper history are included in these requests.
